CRP Test is a laboratory method that measures the level of CRP in a patient's blood .CRP is an acute-phase protein produced by the liver in response to inflammation or infection.Some infections that makes CRP level high are :-
Acute bacterial infections.
Viral infections.
Systemic vasculitis.
Major injury (trauma).
This quantitative test is to detect and measure C - reactive protein in human serum to assess the inflammatory status of the body. GENERALITIES (1) (4) C - reactive protein is one of the strongest acute phase reactants and help in non-specific host defense against infectious agents.
CRP - TURBI (TURBIDIMETRIC METHOD)
Contains :-
.1. Dilute Reagent (R1) = 1*40ml
2. Latex Reagent (R2) = 1*10ml
3. Calibrator Conc.(60mg/L) = 1*0.5ML
